Anxiety and depression are serious conditions that can be ongoing and it is estimated that 10 per cent of Australians over the age of 65 experience anxiety and/or depression.
As a care worker it is critically important to be able to identify, understand and manage anxiety and depression in a client’s daily care plan.
Topics covered include:
- Identifying the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression;
- Utilising assessment tools and Evidence Based Practice;
- Managing anxiety and depression in the elderly;
- Care planning; and
- Validating ACFI claims around anxiety and depression.
