Graduate Nurse Development Program (Aged Care)
Initiate a Graduate Nurse Development Program in your organisation and guide your Aged Care nurses toward success
Two streams to choose from. Have your own in-house branded program or Graduate Nurses can join one of our a public courses.
The Frontline Care Solutions Graduate Nurse Development Program (GNDP) is designed to lead and mentor newly graduated Registered Nurses working in the aged care environment. It guides them along a pathway of learning that enables them to fully understand and develop their clinical leadership role within the contemporary aged care sector.
Frontline have been running this program successfully with major aged care providers in Australia for the past 3 years, and it produces high quality and motivated RNs with the required vocational skills and academic competencies.
The program also greatly assists service providers to improve the recruitment and retention of registered nurses into the aged care sector and be known as employers of choice. It offers newly graduated Registered Nurses an opportunity to join an aged care provider to develop their clinical and leadership skills, and develop a career in gerontic nursing.
With aged care being one of the fastest growing and rapidly developing health sectors in Australia, it is vital that organisations help their graduate nurses to grow and increase their knowledge, so they develop the advanced skills and expertise required as clinical leaders.
The GNDP provides two tailored solutions suitable for graduate nurses or their preceptors.
The courses may provide up to 25 CPD points toward annual registration for registered health professionals (depending on individual requirements). The underpinning content is recognised by the University of Queensland, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work (SONMSW) and qualifies for 2 credit points towards selected post-graduate nursing qualifications.
