The RN Multi-Disciplinary Health Team Leaders Course is a very popular one-day plus online program developed by Consultant Gerontologist, Dr Drew Dwyer.
The course is designed primarily for RNs (both Division 1 and 2) though it is also suitable for managers, general practitioners and allied health professionals who desire to lead a multi-disciplinary health team in either the home or residential care setting.
This program will provide attendees with the tools, resources and skills to develop better managers and leaders of multi-disciplinary health care teams.
Subject matter includes communication, conflict resolution, performance planning, continuous improvement and the use of Quality Documentation Management Systems (QDMS).
The course has been endorsed by ACN and attracts 25 CPD points for annual registration. It is also recognised by the University of Queensland's School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work (NMSW), providing 2 credit points towards the following post-graduate nursing qualifications:
